Giving brokers back the time to advise: Panora’s mission

· 1 min read

A broker spends close to 70% of their time on data entry, document collection and compliance, and 30% advising. Our mission fits in one line: nothing of those 70% should remain. Here is what that means in practice.

Before starting Panora, we sat next to brokers while they worked. One hundred and fifty firms met, more than two hundred hours of interviews. They all told us the same thing, in different words.

Their job has become 70% data entry and 30% advice.

The same information re-keyed into fifteen extranets. The same documents requested three times. The same compliance checks redone by hand. And advice, the part that needs their expertise, pushed to the end of the day.

The mission

Our mission fits in one line: a broker should have no busywork left in their day.

Not “less”. None. It is a high bar, and it is deliberate. An assistant that removes half of a task still forces the broker to keep it in mind. An assistant that takes the whole task truly frees them.

The foundations

The video above dates from the launch. It shows the foundations everything still rests on:

  • offer analysis and client reporting, as a PowerPoint, a PDF or an email ready to send;
  • the generation of the advice statement;
  • quoting on the main lines: commercial property, home, professional liability, motor and construction;
  • a sovereign platform, hosted in Europe, auditable and traceable end to end, ISO 27001 certified.

What has changed since

The product has evolved a lot. The separate assistants of the early days became one assistant, plugged into the firm’s management software and into the insurers’ extranets.

The broker asks for what they want, in their own words. A simple task is done on the spot. An entire procedure becomes a workflow: reminders, analyses, quotes, documents. Every sensitive step waits for their approval. Every action is time-stamped, with its author.

The AI executes. The broker decides, approves, and stays accountable. That is the order of things we want, and it will not change.
